BEING A WINNER

By School Admin

While scrolling to different social media sites such as Facebook, Instagram, or YouTube we would come across various write-ups and videos that feature the story of a failure. The world tells you the story of n number of people who turned their failure into success but why nobody tells about the people who are already successful and the problems they had to go through to achieve success?

The world says to upgrade ourselves everyday and to achieve heights but what if a person is already at the top? By the same token, we often connect winning to money. We consider rich people as the winners. Let’s assume for a while that the rich are the winners; but do consider that although being a billionaire, Elon Musk works for more than 11 hours a day. The position that he acquires in the world at the moment, he has to work twice as hard to stay there. But everyone believes only in the lie which they have been hearing since childhood and at the same fantasies which are being woven for centuries that once you are a winner, there is no worry, sorrow, and pressure in your life. Nevertheless, after being in this delusion for a long time we teach the same misconception to the next generation and put peer pressure on kids from childhood to earn more to become a successful person or beyond doubt a ‘winner’.

But, do we actually know who a winner is? It is often said, “Change is the law of nature.” But, winners have to resist to this law of nature every day. Runner ups have the choice to level up but winners have to stay on that very position to remain winners. We felt suffocated at our own homes during quarantine without displacement but winners have to always stay at a certain position. With no choice left, toppers have to remain constant in the era where change is the only constant. FAIL is given a full form of First Attempt in learning and people who are failures have to work hard to be triumphant but winners have to work harder each day to endorse their position. Behind all overnight success stories, it is the numerous hardworking days. Over and above winners have innumerable sleepless nights to achieve the success which will however remain uncelebrated. When you are a winner, you are considered as an example to many people around you.

Therefore, winning only demands our ruthless discipline, dedication, and determination. But this is only the half story, along with these 3 Ds, winning also demands ample of our training and time. Both victory and defeat are much interconnected. Victory is never quickly achieved rather it is the sum of defeats. However, it is from these defeats that the adjectives and salient features of the victors develop.

Once and for all it is imperative to exterminate this fallacy, which the youth has kept about victory and the victors. We should never dream to be a winner rather doing our best and winning from ourselves should be our ultimate goal and there you’ll notice that you are already a winner with consistency and perseverance!
