SELF - CONFIDENCE
By School Admin
Self-confidence comes from self-love that leads the person to believe in himself or herself. Self-confidence is the supreme condition required for anyone’s success. Even a person can be triumphant over any situation if one has self-confidence within the heart. It not only makes you believe in yourself but also gives you the capacity to remove all the obstacles of your life and chase your dream. Soon, it makes your dream come true and welcomes success in your life.
HER STRENGTH, HER SELF-CONFIDENCE!!!
Bachendri Pal, an Indian mountaineer became the first Indian woman to reach the summit of Mount Everest in 1984. She was awarded the third-highest civilian award ‘Padma Bhushan' by the Government of India in 2019. We know the brighter side of her life but many of us don’t know about the hardships of her life. She had an unsupportive family that criticized her interest in being a mountaineer. Even, on her path to conquer Everest, she met an accident which almost brought her to the verge of death. She was buried under a huge mass of snow. Being spooked by the incident, her team members thought to abort the mission but Pal's determination and faith in herself made her carry on with the mission.
Her self-confidence, hard work and determination marked her name in the pages of history!
There is a minor line between self-confidence and overconfidence which creates a huge difference between success and failure.
Self-Confidence can bring you from the lowest to the highest position.
On the contrary, overconfidence can bring you from the highest to the lowest position.
When the person starts believing ‘I can do it!’ that’s self-confidence and when his perception changes to ‘Only I can do it!’ it becomes the recipe for disaster, i.e., overconfidence. Self-confidence brings success and glitters happiness in your life. Overconfidence creates a negative attitude within yourself and there comes a stage when the person loses his faith in hard work and thus faces failure in his life.
“Your success will be determined by your own confidence and fortitude.”
